Client Grooming Agreement
Communication is everything between a groomer and client. At DTTC we promise to always be transparent with you, however we do expect that in return.
Aggressive or Dangerous Pets: Owner MUST inform Dressed To The Canines if your pet(s) bite(s), has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. A muzzle may be used is necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet, and protects both the pet and groomer. Dressed To The Canines reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before or during the grooming process, and a charge an "Aggressive Dog Fee" in addition to the regular grooming charge, even after the normal price has been quoted.
Matted Dogs: Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. Mats left in a pet’s coat only grow tighter, and can strangle a pets skin, or eventually tear it open. Dressed To The Canines does not wish to cause serious and undue stress to your pet, and will not continually de-mat your pet for you. Mats can be very difficult to remove and may require the pet to be shaved. When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat includes risk of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet’s skin allowing mould, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. Torn skin from mats can also harbour maggots. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to re-grow. In some cases pets may also exhibit brief behavioural changes. Prevention is the best defence against matting by scheduling regular grooming appointments. There is an extra charge for matted dogs.
Dogs With Fleas: Owner MUST inform Dressed To The Canine if a pet has fleas upon arrival so it can be treated instantly. Any pet with fleas will be treated at an additional charge of €10. Dressed To The Canines takes great pride in keeping the salon clean so no fleas is a must! We can only take care of part of your flea problem by treating your dog, treating the environment is up to you. We recommend you use a monthly flea treatment at home.
